Anvar Buranov holds MSc, PhD, and Postdoc. Published 15 peer-reviewed research papers, 2 patents and numerous conference presentations. Managed five R&D projects in last 10 years. More than 10 years of his experience has been devoted to rubber-bearing plants. Dr. Buranov holds MSc in Organic Chemistry from Rochester Institute of Technology, New York, USA and PhD inChemistry from National University of Uzbekistan. Dr. Buranov served as a postdoctoral research fellow at Pacific Agri-Food Research Center in Summerland, BC (Supervisor - Dr. Joe Mazza) in 2006-2009. He received Schildroth Agri-Innovation Award from business competition "New Ventures British Columbia" sponsored by British Columbia Innovation Council, Canada in 2011.
Mr. Jason Rite is the Business Development Manager for Nova. Mr. Rite has over 40 years’ of business and development experience and recently served as the President/CEO of NitroLube Canada Inc. He has led 5 successful companies. He has extensive experience in Business sales and marketing in the industrial market. Mr. Rite is in charge of business development for extraction devices and seed production activities. Mr Rite holds BSc in Engineering and MBA degrees from University of Toronto. Mr. Rite has been with Nova since 2010 as an investor and a director.

Laila Benkrima, PhD is the research agronomist for Nova. Dr. Benkrima holds a Ph.D. in Plant Biology and a Master Degree in Plant Physiology from Paris University (France) and worked in plant and horticultural sciences research in B.C. more than 15 years. Dr. Benkrima has extensive experience in all facets of agriculture including plant breeding, agronomy and horticulture. She has worked before with many projects related to agriculture research and helped companies such as Mountain View Wasabi Inc, Grotek Manufacturing Ltd., J.R.T Nursery Inc., New World Farm Inc and West Coast Harvesting Inc to set up their research programs.
Perry Lidster, PhD, an Advisor to Nova, is currently the Managing Director of AFMNet Canada at University of Guelph. Dr. Lidster has extensive experience in operational management; some of his key strengths include management of human resources, facilities and finances, delivery of research programs, leadership in developing novel industry/government alliances and the development of small and medium size enterprises. Prior to joining AFM Canada, he held senior management positions as President/CEO Innovative Food Systems Corp., President/CEO, Ag-West Bio Inc., President/COO of FreshXtend Technologies Corp. and Director, Lacombe/Beaverlodge Research Centre (Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada). Dr. Lidster received his education from the University of British Columbia in the departments of Biochemistry, Plant Science and Food Science.
